This tour offers a fine combination of the classical historical sites of Athens and the mainland as well as a sampling of the Greek islands, including a two day side trip to Rhodes. Highlights include Athens-The Saronic Islands-Corinth-Mycenae-Epiduarus-Olympia-Delphi the island of Rhodes.

Day 1: Depart Canada for your overnight flight to Athens.

Day 2: Arrival in Athens. Transfer to our superior tourist class hotel for refreshening and then small group walking explorations of historic Athens. Dinner and overnight at our Athens hotel. (D)

Day 3: Breakfast at our hotel and then a half day comprehensive tour of Athens including the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and National Archeological Museum. Afternoon walking explorations of the scenic and historic Plaka neighbourhood. Dinner and overnight at our Athens hotel. (B,D)

Day 4: Breakfast at our hotel and then a full day cruise to the Saronic Islands of Aegina, Hydra and Poros to take in the beautiful scenery of the Greek villages and fishing ports of these famous islands. Lunch is included. Dinner and overnight at our Athens hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel and then a morning flight to the historic and scenic island of Rhodes situated off of the coast of Turkey. Transfer to our superior first class hotel located on the beach. Small group walking explorations of the local offerings and maybe a swim. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)

Day 6: Breakfast and then a full day sightseeing tour of Rhodes including the Theatre and Temple of Pythian Apollo, the medieval city including the Amboise Gate, Street of Knights, Palace of the Grand Masters and the archaeological museum. The tour continues with a visit to the Acropolis of Lindos. Dinner and overnight at our beach-side hotel. (B,D)

Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport for an early flight to Athens. On arrival we will board our bus for a two night, three day tour of the classical sites of mainland Greece. Today's visits include the Corinth Canal, Ancient Corinth, Mycenae and Epidaurus. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Olympia. (B,D)

Day 8: Breakfast at the hotel then visits to Olympia's archaeological site and museum to discover the original site of the ancient Olympic games. Continue through the Greek countryside to the historic centre of Delphi. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Delphi. (B,D)

Day 9: Breakfast at the hotel and then visits to Delphi's archaeological site and museum. Tour through the Greek mountains and rural landscape en route to Athens. We will celebrate our tour of Greece with a farewell dinner including a cultural floor show at a local restaurant. Overnight in our Athens hotel. (B,D)

Day 10: Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport for our return trip home.
