Big Blue Sky Adventures

We know that many do not want to travel in groups and that you do not want to be tied to a set itinerary. For this reason we have set up tour modules which you can choose to design your own itinerary. Go where you want to go and when you want to go for as long or short as you wish. You will travel individually or with companions of your choosing.

Choose from the offerings below and we will put them together into a seamless package with private transportation links between each.

In addition, we offer independent and small group birding tours to allow you to take advantage of our expert birding guides and the camaraderie of fellow birders in one of the world's premier birding destinations.

If you do not see everything you want to experience in Costa Rica here, let us know and we can add it in for you. After all, at Big Blue Sky Adventures we are the Costa Rica specialists!

This is one of the few Costa Rican national parks where walking isn't necessarily the best way to see things. The marked trail along the endless Caribbean beach is used mostly for observing turtle nesting, but the best way to see most of the park is from a boat. The wide-open canals make viewing easier than at many other parks--superb for spotting crocodiles, giant iguanas, and basilisk lizards basking atop the branches, swallow-tailed hawks and vultures swooping over the treetops, and caimans luxuriating on the fallen raffia palm branches at the side of the river. View Details This park has an abundance of wildlife as well as pristine beaches at the jungle's edge. There is also a beach town ambience in the neighbouring town of Quepos. Plenty of activities abound in this Pacific coast location from river rafting, birding, hiking, sunset and snorkelling cruises, to just chilling on the beach. Watch the sunset over the Pacific and see if you can witness its elusive green flash as the sounds of the rainforest begin their nightly aria. View Details This world famous nature reserve lies high up on the Pacific side of the continental divide. The reserve and surrounding countryside is replete with many varieties of beautiful birds, animals and lush cloud forest vegetation. The mountainside location offers wonderful views of the Pacific sunsets as well as moderate temperatures. Skywalks on treetop bridges or the invigorating zip-line experience in the forest canopy also await. View Details
